Angus – Greyhound/Shepherd Cross (Shephound) – 6 years old
Angus has come to Three Counties because he is a stray.
Angus is an incredible boy despite the fact that he has obviously had a hard life, judging by the scars on his face. Angus has a wonderful forgiving nature and he’s a very very loving soul.
What is quite special about about Angus is his mix. Having the Shepherd in him means he will be loyal, clever and great fun.
Angus is friendly with everyone he meets especially if you have a treat. He is VERY treat motivated and he knows if you have treats in your pocket and he will be helping himself. His love of treats will be great for training in his new home.
In our secure exercise area Angus is usually never far away and he will often walk faithfully by your side.
Angus loves having his lead on and he will put his head through the loop himself. Angus walks nicely on the lead as well.
Angus is always happy and his tail is always wagging.
Given half the chance Angus will be a lap dog!
Angus is very bright and he’s quite unusual because he will sit for his treats. We don’t usually ask leggy dogs like him to sit and we haven’t taught him to do this, he just does it. He knows how to please.
Angus has incredible colouring and a handsome physique which could benefit from gaining a little more weight. Extra weight is easier to put on once he has a home where Angus can relax more.
We have regular visits from other lurcher type dogs and Angus gets on with them all and he has even been know to share some settee space with them. Angus can be more excitable around small dogs.
Angus probably wouldn’t do well in a home where there is a cat.
If there are children in the family they will need to be 10 plus and dog savvy. Angus is on the larger size.
Angus could be left for 3- 4 hours and not on a regular basis. This time would need to be built up.
Angus will require a garden with 6 foot security. We re-home in a 50 mile drive of Bourne Lincs. Appointment only.
