Charlie – Border Collie – 2 1/2 Years Old
Charlie has come to Three Counties because his elderly owner couldn’t cope with him.
Charlie is a cracking fella who is incredibly handsome and very clever!
Charlie loves his play time and he enjoys chasing and bringing balls back. He has his own unique way of doing this, he will chase the ball and then bring it back so far then drop it near by and then circle behind, with the expectation of you picking it up to throw again.
Charlie knows his basic commands and he will sit beautifully and give you his paw and take treats very gently. Our feeling is that Charlie is very clever and he has huge potential to learn so much more in the right family. He is extremely alert and he is taking in his surroundings all the time.
Charlie is extremely loving and in his previous home he would enjoy cuddles in the evening on the settee. He was good at night and very clean.
Charlie isn’t keen on travelling but we feel that with the right approach and positive reinforcement that will soon change in time. Charlie is also nervous of cars.
The right family for Charlie will be one that has had a dog before preferably a Border Collie and also that they understand some of the Border Collies quirky ways. Charlie likes to have his mind and body stimulated so his new family will need to really want to take an active role in his life. Charlie may like to do agility once he has settled into his new home.
Charlie may do better in a more rural area but that isn’t a necessity.
Charlie is fine with most dogs but not keen on bouncy over zealous puppies.
We have no cat history. Charlie has mixed with children of the age of 8 plus who are dog savvy. If there are children in Charlie’s new family they will need to know the do’s and don’ts of having a dog.
Charlie will require a garden with 6 foot security.
We re-home in a 50 mile drive of Bourne Lincs. Appointment only.
