Sampson – Patterdale/ Whippet Cross – 1 year old

Update – Three Counties have been working with Sampson with his basic training and he now sits beautifully for us and takes treats nicely. Sampson has also gained a nice amount of weight. Sampson’s affectionate side is shining through.

We are finding that Sampson’s confidence is growing and he is now an extremely lively active young boy who loves everyone he meets. So Sampson will need a home that can accommodate his active little ways.

Sampson is not very interested in toys, preferring the company of his humans. He really does loves his cuddles and he is very intense with his affection. He will want to be on your lap. He will want to be stretched up with his paws on you legs and want to jump up and love you. This is his loving nature coming out.

Sampson has been good in the car for us. As a young boy Sampson will not benefit from being left more than 2 hours at this point.

Original Write Up – Sampson has come to us from a veterinary practice in Birmingham. He was bought in to be put to sleep. He was an out door kennelled dog and he shared his kennel with his brother and because they had reached maturity and the hormones were flying high and they hadn’t been neutered they weren’t getting on. The veterinary practice recognised this little guys very sweet nature and intervened and asked if they could re-home him.

Little Sampson is a smashing fella and he has a very sweet loyal nature. He is a little bewildered at the moment because he has spent a week with the vets while they’ve tried to find a rescue to take him and now he’s come to us. So a lot of adjustment for him. Despite this, it’s clear he’s lovely which is a credit to his nature. At this point in time Sampson is very quiet and more than happy just have lap time and cuddles. We’ve not seen any sign of any basic training in Sampson so once he settles in we will work on that. May be a little slow as he’s playing catch but we are confident that he will shine.

We have no cat history. Sampson will do better as the only dog in the family at this point in time. If there are children in the family they will need to be 13 plus.

Sampson will require a family with 5 foot security. We re-home in a 50 mile drive of Bourne lincs. Appointment only.
