Skippy lived in Spain with her owner. Sadly he died and she was bought back to this country to us to be re-homed. She was from a rescue centre in Spain and lived happily with her previous owner for many years.
Skippy is a lovely girl and enjoys running after her toys. She doesn’t need many toys, we have found that she usually decides on a favourite and that’s her happy for the rest of the day. Skippy is good at bringing her toy back after we’ve thrown it especially if there is a treat to exchange for it. Skippy likes to have a good run and she is delightful to watch because she is so bouncy and playful. You would never know by watching Skippy that she is an older girl because she is so agile.
Skippy will sit nicely for you and give you her paw. She’s very soft mouthed when taking a treat and will wait patiently for a toy to be thrown. Skippy is happy with her own company, sometimes being left to enjoy her chosen toy that day all to herself. Throwing it in the air or just holding it in her mouth.
Skippy walks on a loose lead and will let you groom her from dawn to dusk.
Skippy has lived with a dog in the past and we think that she had to eat quickly to avoid her food be stolen. So she doesn’t like being disturbed whilst eating. Skippy loves her toys and we don’t take them off her again for the same reason as eating. Skippy is an older girl who has her own ways.
Skippy will do better as the only dog at this point. We have no cat history. if there are children in the family they will need to be 12 plus.
Skippy is a little older so we feel we would be happy for her to be available for long term foster. Everything you need to know about long term fostering is on the website under the support us tab. Could you be that special person to give an older dog a loving home. You would need to live closer than the usual 50 mile drive because our vets are in Stamford and Bourne. We would cover the vets fees and if you take a holiday abroad Skippy can come back to be boarded with us.
