Tonneigh Tuohy – Greyhound (small build) 2-3 years old
Original Write Up – Tonneigh Tuohy has come to Three Counties because he was an un micro chipped stray.
Tonneigh Tuohy is a smashing boy who appears to be very laid back and gentle. He’s been lovely around us and he’s very sweet indeed. He is a gentle soul. We are sure that as Tonneigh Tuohy becomes more acclimatised to us, there will be a lot more to him. Tonneigh Tuohy walks nicely on the lead. He is a bit nervous at the moment and when he is visited by his potential new family they will need to take there time with this very sweet boy.
Tonneigh Tuohy appears to have had a hard life, just like a lot of Greyhounds. He’s very under weight and he should be as well covered as any other dog.
Tonneigh Tuohy’s right ear has been removed. There could be a few reasons for this. So we can only speculate why…..One reason could be medical ….. But the main reason for Greyhound ear removal is to remove evidence of the tattoo which links that Greyhound to an owner. So Tonneigh Tuohy may not have been fast enough or he may not have produced enough puppies and therefore have no value to the owner. Ears are crudely removed and the Greyhound is promptly dumped out of sight to die or be found by people like ourselves. Tattoo’s are designed to safe guard the dog but unfortunately a cruel loop hole has been discovered to avoid prosecution.
British Greyhounds that have their right ear tattooed.
Tonneigh Tuohy is a smashing boy who deserves some home comforts, love and devotion from a family who will love him unconditionally.
We expect Tonneigh Tuohy to be fine with other dogs. We have no cat history. If there are children in the family they will need to be 10 plus.
Tonneigh Tuohy will not benefit from being left for more than 3 hours at this point. He will require a garden with 6 foot security.
We re-home in a 50 mile drive of Bourne Lincs.
