About Us / Contact
A donation of £250 for dogs and £100 for cats is requested after a trial period.
We have to raise around £200,000 every year to keep going so donations in addition are welcome as are other one-off donations. We have a non destruction policy and never put down a healthy dog. However this means that we can incur large veterinary costs to maintain a dog’s health while they await a new permanent home. As part of our non-destruction policy some elderly animals are kept in long term foster homes.
Every penny raised goes directly to improving the lives of our dogs and cats.
Our costs are only kennelling and veterinary fees (with a small amount on advertising). None of the money raised goes on administration or salaries.
Other costs including travel, transport, telephone and website are met by our volunteers.
VISITS ARE STRICTLY BY APPOINTMENTS ONLY
We only re-home our animals within an approximate 50 mile drive of our South Lincolnshire base

Sheila Kew (who sadly died after a lifetime devoted to the well being of dogs) founded Three Counties Dog Rescue in Hampshire in 1971. Gyll Mauchline joined her soon after and has continued to develop the Rescue over the last 42 years. She is now committed to ensuring the continuity of Three Counties as a well run charity and one that will give happiness and health to future dogs and cats and their new owners.
The Rescue originally operated in Hampshire, Surrey and Berkshire (the Three Counties). Following an enforced move for Gyll, the Rescue was re-formed in Lincolnshire and now re-homes within a 50 mile radius of its base in South Lincolnshire. This means we now re-home in Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, Rutland, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire and Nottinghamshire. By staying within our own region we are able, more easily, to keep in touch.
Recently we have taken in some cats due to other Rescue doors being closed. Our same exacting care and re-homing procedure is also applied to them.
Our dogs and cats are kept at Three Counties Kennels in Bourne (From Bourne, 200m after “Styleash Grooming”, please check on our map as sat navs will navigate you to another address) until we can find a permanent or foster home for them. A few dogs with special needs are kept in long term foster homes.
