Do you wish you could do something more personal for the Dogs and Cats spending their Christmas in kennels? Well this year you can, with the Three Counties Christmas Shoe box Appeal!
The Shoe Box Appeal will allow the dogs and cats in the rescues’ kennels to have some extra special goodies over the Christmas period and there’s something in it for you too . . .
There will be a prize for the ‘Best Box’ donated!
The lucky winner will receive a goody bag of Three Counties Dog Rescue merchandise. (Also available to purchase directly at https://threecountiesdogrescue.org/shop ).
The winner will be announced on December 19th 2015 (with all boxes for judging needing to be at the drop off points by December 12th).
You can drop your Shoe boxes off at Dawsmere Kennels in Bourne, Burghley Vets in Stamford and Burghley Vets in Deeping.
Have fun and remember we need boxes for cats as well as dogs.
Here are the rules . . .
Shoe box sized boxes only please (decorated, wrapped, personalised however you like)
Please only include items from the ‘YES PLEASE’ lists below.
Write your name, contact telephone number and email clearly on the inside of the box lid, so we may contact you if you are our lucky winner.
A Christmas note or poem to the cats and / or dogs can be included.
If you would like to include spare change / donations in your box please do, as all donations raised go directly to the welfare of the animals.
Dogs.
YES PLEASE! Items that CAN be included in Shoe Boxes for DOGS:
Robust chew toys (such as kongs, nylabones, tuff toys etc), tennis balls, hard rubber balls, small footballs, dog treats (bought and / or homemade), antler chews, fleece blankets, collars, leads, harnesses, dog coats, plaited fleece pull toys.
NO THANK YOU. Please DO NOT include these items in Shoe Boxes for DOGS:
Cooked or Raw bones, plush or baby toys (may have unsafe fillings or parts), squeaky toys, supplements, medications.
Cats.
YES PLEASE! Items that CAN be included in Shoe Boxes for CATS:
Pingpong balls, Catnip toys, chase toys, dangly toys, hessian toys, scratch posts, kickaroos, cat treats (purchased only), fleece blankets, collars, food and water bowls.
NO THANK YOU. Please DO NOT include these items in Shoe Boxes for CATS:
Cooked or raw bones, non-feline specific toys, supplements, medications.
All box contents will go directly to the cats and dogs in the care of the Three Counties Dog Rescue. Please give generously and good luck!
Chocolate Tombola at Springfields
Hello all you lovely people who support the Three Counties Dog Rescue. This year approaching Christmas and commencing 7th 8th November we are doing chocolate and sweet tombola’s. So we are appealing to all you good folk out there for some donations of boxes of chocolates, bags of nice sweets etc. Drop-off points are-
*Dawsmere kennels where 3CDR are located in Bourne.
* Burghley vets in Stamford and Deeping” who take such good care of our dogs and cats.
*Make it Yours “situated in The Northfields Industrial Est in Market Deeping who have personalised our uniforms and made our signs and other items.
*Julie’s cafe- Burghley arcade in Bourne. You can always stop and have a
cuppa while you’re there.
