Berry is an English Bulldog X born approx Jan 2020 She is nervous and has come to us because she has apparently started to get very anxious and snappy around the 4 children that were in her previous family. This could be for any number of reasons. If the children were maybe boisterous then Berry may well have been frightened of them. She is clearly a nervous girl in new situations but she has not been at all snappy since she has been here with us. If things are quiet and calm and you talk to her gently she soon comes around and will sit happily on your lap.
As previously mentioned she has lived with young children but we feel that a quieter and calmer household will be more suitable for her. We would prefer it to be an adult only household.
Berry is a very sweet girl and does know her basic manners. She loves treats and takes them gently. Once she knows and trusts you, she is a very affectionate little girl. She came to us with a skin condition and is currently on medication.
Berry’s previous owner says that she likes to play fetch. She loves her toys and likes to hide them. She also likes to wrap herself up in blankets.
Berry is generally ok around other dogs but we think it best if she is the only dog in her new home. She can then settle in and get the love and security that she needs. Berry shared her previous home with 12 cats so she could share a home again with a cat.
